Evil Stepmother...

Don't where where should I start. Let me just make it clear that I love kids to the moon and back. No matter where they're from or who their parent/parents are. My current husband was a divorcĂ©e too when we met. He has 3 kids from the previous marriage...two girls and a boy. I gotta be honest that I was excited to meet them for the first time though I realised that his eldest were a bit 'moody' when I'm around...on the 1st outing, and the following outings after. I guess she's still trying to adjust to the scene of having another woman holding her dad's hand instead of her mom like how it used to be.

It breaks my heart to see kids from a broken marriage be sad. I feel them everytime I see my own daughter missing her dad whom is so ignorant to even visit. But that's another story. And having them to accept someone new (either a mom/dad) is indeed their worst nightmare. Unless, they were still small when you both got separated/divorce. Small here is like 6 years old and below.

My daughter, she was so excited knowing that she'll be getting a new dad. Seriously! She was like "Yeay, I'll be telling my friends that I'm special". When asked why, she said she's special just coz she will be having TWO dads! Hahahaha... You wouldn't know what a big ass burden just got off my shoulders hearing that!! Gotta admit i was worried she couldn't accept the new dad. She was okay on the first meet, but was a bit shy and kinda refused to talk to the hubs. But was he a pro with kids!! They got along great.

On my side with his kids, they are just great!! Especially the two youngest ones. I tried so hard trying to get the eldest to talk to me or at least smile at me, but to no avail. I'm like this horrible evil monster. It really breaks my heart, and i know it hurts the hubs too since she refused to talk to him as well most of the time. The worst part when one of the kids had told us that their mom & grandma were giving inputs that they should be hating I and hubs. That their dad is a scum for not loving them and their mom, and I'm the superb*tch for 'stealing' their dad. How much lower can she get? Veeeery low. Those bad input she's giving the kids, they never ends.

I do hope one day I and hubs get to be with the kids without any hidden drama...and yes, have sleepovers at our crib. I too hope hubs' ex moves on. Get a boyfriend or something and just be nice..to us. Learn and understand that they were just not meant for each other. Not anymore. And hopefully, let me be the super stepmom I wished to be. A much slimmer version that the one in the picture. InshaAllah... ~XOXOX~

Lil' Bubba In The Oven...

After a few months of being a missus, I and the hubs decided that it's finally time to try for a baby. It took me a while to actually be 100% into it. I was kinda having a weight issue. When I was pregnant with my first born, I was so huge, I didn't even wanna look at my pictures!! Seriously!! Then before I got married (again), I went on a crazy diet and got slim. So slim, I had to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes!! So the thought of being a hippo or a Dumbo all over again, was the reason I delayed myself to being impregnate! LOL!!

So yes, after a few crazy nights of baby-making, I got pregnant! Alhamdulillah. After all these years, (for various ridiculous reasons), I thought I could never be a mom again. Don't ask me why. It was just how I felt back then. When I got to know I was carrying a baby inside me, I silently prayed to God every single night to grant me a boy. Not that I wouldn't love the baby if it were to be a her, but since I already have a princess, I might as well 'ask' for a boy now. Wouldn't you have done the same?

True enough, Allah SWT granted my wish. I was having a boy. I literally jumped when my darling gynae; Dr. Delaila  Ahmad showed me the baby's cute lil balls on the screen!! Here are some of his pictures taken towards the end of my 2nd trimester. Enjoy... ~XOXOX~

The Dress, The Shoes & The Rings...

It's four days till the BIG day!! Thanks to all my daydreaming, the prep isn't at all a stressful matter. My head truly acts as a hard disk for all the important details...THE dais, THE hantaran (wedding gifts), THE dress, THE shoes, THE bridal bouquet, and of course THE ring!! The most important thing to a bride is definitely her dress. In my case, I was being so fickle minded on choosing a designer for my outfit to be worn on the solemnisation night. Well, I and the fiancé have decided that there will only be one reception for our wedding. Which is, the solemnisation ceremony. We plan on having a very small, decent, yet memorable ceremony. Nothing will be OTT except for my dress! Hahaaa...joking! So here's the list...

THE Shoes & THE Dress (His & Hers)

THE Make-Up

The Hair

THE Rings

THE Bridal Bouquet

THE Dais

Sorry there ain't much pics this time, folks. Pretty tied up to compile on pics!! But I promise you, I shall upload great ones soon!!! ~XOXOX~

The Hospital Shall NOT Be Our 2nd Home...

My daughter has been in and out of hospitals ever since the tender age of two. Her first admission was only due to high fever. But doctor was more concerned on the pneumonia and tonsillitis that came with it, as well as her asthma. That was four years ago at Sime Darby Medical Centre (formerly known as Subang Jaya Medical Centre).
Recently, she was admitted for dengue fever also known as breakbone fever! It was indeed a shocker knowing she couldn't have got it from home as my mom especially (as well as the rest of the family), is very particular on the cleanliness of her surroundings. It couldn't be the baby-sitter's too since my daughter stop going there few months back. So most probably, it was at my grandpa's that Putri got bitten by the killer mosquito. Yes, I'm sure it was. She was there for a few days with her cousins during the school holidays. The fact that there are no vaccine or drugs available for preventing the infection, scares us the most. So doctors will firstly see the current level of the patient's blood platelet. From there, doctors will determine the next step of treatment. In my daughter's case, she was given fluids intravenously and the fluids carefully monitored to ensure that she does not get excess fluids. Next, they'll just monitor the platelet count on daily basis.
During my daughter's stay at the hospital, I was also told by some relatives and friends to feed her crab soup!! Believe it or not, it's a MUST-READ and worth trying!! Oh btw, Alhamdulillah that Azalea Putri recovered from her dengue fever and left for home after 5 days!! ~XOXOX~

Life Begins At 40?...

Happy 40th Birthday to my fiancĂ©!! If it's true what people brag...that life starts at 40, I seriously hope that it's for real. That he'll get his new 'beginning'. A new beginning to be shared with me. A new marriage (soon), new adventures, and hopefully a new happily-ever-after fairytale.

The birthday dinner was at The Hill, Damansara Heights. We didn't really had a plan on where to dine, so yes, it was a last minute pick. And thank God it they had a table for us being  on a Saturday night.

From blogs around (which you can Google), I've been hearing bout the to-die-for ribs and their various unique cocktails! We had a go on their Caesar Salad, THE Brontosaurus Beef Ribs, and Watermelon Slush (alcoholic)! Oh, if you're dining alone, don't even think about coming here. Coz the foods were made to share! And do call and make bookings just so you wont be disappointed on not getting a table!

And yes, the above is my gift for the birthday boy this year...a shiny purple (being his favourite colour) Zippo lighter! Now please don't preach to me if you think it's an unhealthy gift. At the back of it, was...

R.R
SINFULLY SEXY
40!

XOXOX

Here's wishing my husband-to-be to more great birthdays ahead, a unlimited health & wealth with all the love and blessings from Allah SWT. I love you, sweetheart... ~XOXOX~

Trip To The Zoo...

It's that time of the year again. One of my daughter's compulsory yearly event, is a trip to Malaysia's National Zoo. She's a fan of animals. Well, sorta since I honestly think that there are not many hot spot (with the 'presence' of animals) for kids in Kuala Lumpur.

Though we're here every year, it still amazes me on how my daughter acts and responds to the animals & its surroundings at different ages. How she sees things differently which clearly shows the development of a child's brain and maturity. It's just that now that she's older, I've to bare the irritating complaints from her; sun's too hot, she sweats too much, her legs are wobbly cause she had to walk for so long, bla bla bla. *sigh* The best question this year was "Mommy, why don't they have a walkalator here just like in airports?"...LOL!! ~XOXOX~
